Help tell our story

Social Media Coordinator

Bring the energy of Bartlett Baseball to families’ feeds. Share the moments, reminders, and people that make our league special.

2–3 hours / week
What helping looks like

Typical tasks

  • Plan a few Facebook and Instagram posts each week: registration reminders, league news, and upcoming events.
  • Gather photos and highlights from coaches and families, following league photo permissions before posting.
  • Celebrate teams, volunteers, and sponsors; direct questions or sensitive comments to the right board contact.

A good fit if…

You enjoy writing a friendly caption, taking photos, or keeping people in the loop. You don’t need to be a marketing professional.

A realistic time commitment

Plan on 2–3 hours a week, often in short blocks from home. Registration and major events may take 4–5 hours that week; quieter weeks take less.

Your team & support

Work with coaches, team families, and event organizers. Check in with a designated board contact on priorities and approvals.

Keep the season moving

Scheduling Coordinator

Help coaches and families know where to be and when. Use the league’s scheduling tools to keep practices, games, and changes organized.

2–4 hours / week
What helping looks like

Typical tasks

  • Help maintain game and practice schedules using the league’s existing scheduling system.
  • Collect coach requests, spot field conflicts, and coordinate changes and makeup dates.
  • Relay confirmed updates to coaches and coordinate with field contacts, District scheduling contacts, and umpire coordinators as needed.

A good fit if…

You like calendars, details, and solving small puzzles. Familiarity with a spreadsheet helps; knowing every baseball rule is not required.

A realistic time commitment

Expect 2–4 hours a week during the season, including brief check-ins. Season setup and rainy stretches may take 4–6 hours; agree on availability and backup coverage up front.

Your team & support

Work with division commissioners, coaches, field contacts, and umpire coordinators. Report to a designated board contact; escalate weather and policy decisions to league leadership.

Connect people with a place to help

Volunteer Coordinator

Be the welcoming connection between “I’d like to help” and a useful next step. Help more people share in making the season happen.

1–2 hours / week
What helping looks like

Typical tasks

  • Welcome interested volunteers and learn about their skills, interests, and availability.
  • Organize sign-ups for Opening Day, tournaments, field workdays, and other league needs.
  • Send clear shift details and reminders, help event leads fill gaps, and thank people afterward.

A good fit if…

You’re approachable, organized, and comfortable reaching out. You don’t need to know everyone in the league to get started.

A realistic time commitment

Usually 1–2 hours a week, with 3–5 hours around larger events. Much of the coordination can happen from home; attending every event is not expected.

Your team & support

Work with event leads, coaches, and other coordinators. Check in with a designated board contact to prioritize needs and route any required volunteer screening.

Get every team ready to play

Equipment & Uniform Coordinator

Help put the right gear in the right hands. Keep equipment and uniforms organized so coaches can focus on their teams.

Seasonal, with planned busy weeks
What helping looks like

Typical tasks

  • Maintain a simple inventory of team equipment, baseballs, catcher’s gear, and coach bags; flag worn or missing items.
  • Collect uniform sizes and quantities, track approved orders with vendors, and coordinate distribution.
  • Arrange pickup and end-of-season returns, and share replacement needs with the board before purchases.

A good fit if…

You enjoy keeping things organized and checking items off a list. Comfortable with spreadsheets is helpful; purchasing or equipment experience is not required.

A realistic time commitment

About 1–2 hours a week during active planning, rising to 4–6 hours in ordering and distribution weeks. Some hands-on pickup and sorting is needed; lifting and transport can be shared.

Work with division commissioners, coaches, vendors, and the treasurer. Report to a designated board contact; spending and vendor commitments require league approval.

Paid position • Ages 16+

Field Worker

Help keep our parks and baseball fields clean, cared for, and ready for play. This is a paid position for applicants age 16 or older.

Seasonal hours • Schedule discussed together
What helping looks like

Typical tasks

  • Chalk fields and help prepare playing areas before games.
  • Take out garbage at the parks and keep common areas tidy.
  • Rake fields and help maintain the playing surfaces.
  • Cut grass and assist with routine grounds upkeep, using equipment only as trained and assigned.

A good fit if…

You are 16 or older, dependable, enjoy working outdoors, and are willing to learn.

A realistic time commitment

Hours vary with the season, game schedule, weather, and field needs. We’ll discuss availability, expected shifts, and pay before you accept the position.

Your team & support

Work with the league’s field maintenance lead and designated board contact. They’ll coordinate assignments, explain safe equipment use, and provide direction and support.

This is a paid position. Applicants must be 16 or older. We’ll discuss training, pay, and scheduling together.
